Training Women on Mixed Farming Techniques for Sheep and Crops
This activity concerns enhancing Mbororo women's skills and knowledge in developing a sustainable livelihood with mixed farming of crops and sheep. The women were trained on effective methods of sheep farming in combination with growing corn, beans and other subsistent crops and vegetables. One key aspect of this training was the encouragement of manure from sheep production being used to enhance soil fertility in farms and gardens that were grown by the women. This activity works to enhance food security and agro-ecologically sustainable agricultural practices in the beneficiary communities.

Across Bafoussam and Bamenda, we successfully trained over 40 indigenous Mbororo women in entrepreneurship, leadership, and culturally relevant trade skills. Through hands-on workshops, participants mastered the production of yogurt, plantain chips, and peanut snacks, followed by classroom sessions on the fundamentals of launching and managing a business. By blending practical craftsmanship with professional guidance, this initiative aims to economically empower these women, providing them with the tools to build sustainable livelihoods and independent sources of income.

WORKSHOP on STRATEGIC PLAN and POLICY DOCUMENTS - January 17 & 18, 2026
We recently hosted a seminar to review and finalize our strategic plan and policy documents. Indigenous women from various locations in Cameroon were invited to participate and provide their input. Our facilitator Shei Williams presented drafts of IWAGREC's Strategic Plan, Financial Policy, Procurement Policy, Personnel Policy and Code of Conduct Policy among others. Participants in this working seminar provided valuable feedback which Shei Williams together with IWAGREC's leadership team will incorporate in preparing the final versions of these important documents.
